Pharmacy – Bachelor’s degree


Formation of a generalist pharmacist with competencies to perform effectively in all levels of health care playing its social role with respect to world problems in public health. Encouraging autonomy in the drugs and medicines area, food technology, toxicological and clinical analyses, ensuring completeness and quality of attention provided to individuals, families and community in relation to SUS.


Privatives attributions of the pharmaceutical professional refers as all the inherent procedures to medicinal products for human use, including dispensing, production of medicinal products for human use, execution or supervision of process and pharmaceutical methods or of pharmaceutical nature.


Pharmacists are able to act widely in: pharmaceutical and clinical administration, clinical analyses, banks of umbilical cord, human milk, blood and organs, molecular biology, bromatology, clinical cytology, water quality control and treatment, urban pests and vectors control, cosmetology, DNA tests. Furthermore in these kind of pharmacies: community, dispensation, homoeopathic, medical, industrial, magisterial, nuclear and drugs fractioning. Alternatively are able to work with pharmacoepidemiology, herbal medicine, human genetics, clinical haematology, histopathology, immunohistochemistry, clinical mycology and microbiology, parenteral nutrition, public health, clinical toxicology, environmental and food, forensic, sanitary surveillance, among others.

QUALIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
